August 20, 2012 declared as Regular Holiday throughout the Country

In celebration of Eid’l Fitr the country has declared a nationwide regular holiday to pay respect of the culmination of Ramadan. Right now, Davao City is celebrating the Kadayawan Festival 2012 and August 17, 2012 has been declared as a special non-working holiday. The City is experiencing a 5 day long weekend holiday.

August 17, 2012 declared as Special Non-Working Day in Davao City

In celebration of the week-long Kadayawan 2012 Festival, August 17, 2012 has been declared as a special non-working holiday here in Davao City. The declaration was under Proclamation No. 432 duly signed by the Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa, Jr.

All dabawenyo’s and all its neighboring cities and municipalities are welcome to join and enjoy the festivities. Kadawayan is dubbed as “King of all Festivals” promise be to a very historic and memorable one.
